Use your education, training and skills to help animals.

Animal organizations all over the world need highly trained professionals as volunteers. Whether your dream Experience is a medical or standard placement (what's the difference?), AEI wants to help you use your professional background to help animals in need. We provide all-inclusive volunteer trips - from an airport pick up to meals, we have thought of everything so you don't have to! Are you interested in learning more about wildlife medicine?

Would you like to try something new before making a career change? Are you happy with your work but would like to get away and try something new and exciting? Consider volunteering abroad and lending your veterinary skills to causes that are making a real difference in the world. Veterinarians are needed on all AEI Experiences, regardless of your level of expertise with wildlife and exotic species. Volunteering lets you give to animals in need of your help. But it gives back to you in countless ways. Gain experience with species you have never worked with before. Learn about handling, nutrition, husbandry and conservation issues. Immerse yourself in a new culture while exploring a country you have always wanted to visit.

AEI works hard to ensure that your experience will be everything you expected. AEI’s veterinarian has assessed all the AEI Experiences to determine the level of veterinary involvement required at the placement. We want to ensure you are satisfied with your experience, and that the partner organization can benefit from the skills that you have to offer.
