Your fees make sure you're taken care of while you volunteer. We handle the details so you can focus on volunteering! In all of our Experiences we include: Airport pick up and drop off (at closest airport), accommodation, some meals, on-site training, donation to Placement Partner, AEI Travel Manual, Partner Organization’s volunteer handbook, Emergency support while at Placement, Carbon credits to offset 3 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions, Premium Individual Travel Insurance (up to $500, 000 USD in emergency medical coverage), Travel discounts (through automatic membership to a volunteer only travel discount program) and 24/7 Travel and emergency assistance. In some your Experience fees will cover all meals, Placement Partner membership fees, Placement Partner uniform (if it's needed to volunteer) and some guided trips and/or tours to local geographical, cultural and ecologically significant areas. AEI fees exclude: Flights, Entry visa costs, International and domestic airport taxes, Immunizations and medications.
AEI requires a non refundable 20% deposit, 6 months before departure so we can reserve you a spot on your Experience. The balance of your fees is due 60 days before departure. Failure to pay balance within 60 days could result in your Experience being canceled. If you are applying less than 6 months before departure some exceptions can be made- the Volunteer Coordinator will discuss possible solutions with you at the time of your interview.
